Who publishes this
Pronit is an independent technology and research studio. The AI Reckoning is an editorial investigation produced under its Sovereign Systems imprint. It is not sponsored by, affiliated with, or funded by any company named in the investigation. We hold no position in the securities of NVIDIA, OpenAI, Microsoft, Oracle, AMD, CoreWeave, Anthropic, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, xAI, or SoftBank.
Why we built it
The AI boom is the largest capital-allocation decision in human history, and most public coverage falls into one of two camps: uncritical boosterism or reflexive doom. Neither serves a reader trying to form a grounded view. We built The AI Reckoning to hold both the genuine promise and the genuine risk in the same frame, with the evidence doing the arguing.
We are not trying to predict whether the bubble bursts. We are trying to make the structure of the bet legible—who funds whom, what is proven, what is assumed, and what remains genuinely unknown—so that readers can reach their own verdict.
Our editorial standard
- Source hierarchy. Court judgments and regulator findings outrank company claims, which outrank analyst estimates, which outrank opinion. The tier is always visible.
- Confidence labels. Every material claim carries an explicit status: substantiated, partly substantiated, unresolved, claim, or opinion.
- Right of reply. Controversies include the response of the named party where one exists.
- No laundering. We do not relabel spending as theft, allegation as conviction, or estimate as fact.
- Corrections in the open. Material errors are corrected in place and logged on the Corrections page.
Independence & conflicts
This investigation accepts no advertising from the companies it covers. Where we cite paywalled or proprietary research, we name it and, wherever possible, corroborate it against primary filings. Our own limitations—including what we could not access—are stated on the Methodology page rather than buried.
